Santa Barbara County Search & Rescue is an all-volunteer branch of the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department. The team covers all 2,550 square miles of Santa Barbara County and is responsible for the search and rescue of lost and injured people in the backcountry. The team is highly trained in technical rope rescue, swiftwater, alpine operations, search theory, and tracking. As a member of the Mountain Rescue Association, the team also responds to support search and rescue efforts throughout California and the United States.

Kiwanis Meadows at Tuckers Grove Park, Santa Barbara
Bring the whole family to this dog-friendly park for a day filled with games and activities to demonstrate what Search And Rescue does. Play the part of a lost person as our tracking technicians find you, strap on a harness as our team raises you up off the ground with a technical rope system, and meet Kody, our search dog who has come to the aid of many lost and missing hikers. All ages welcome.

$5 cover, Ages 21+. All proceeds go to Santa Barbara County Search And Rescue.
Cross your fingers -- it's your time to win! Step up to the red carpet at this downtown hotspot where KEYT's John Palminteri will pull winning raffle tickets for spa treatments, paragliding lessons, skydives, dinners at some of the County's favorite restaurants, and the Wine Country Weekend Getaway grand prize. Then, hit the dance floor with music provided by 103.3 The Vibe's Spencer, one of the South Coast's favorite DJs.

Soak up the sun at this open meadow in the Santa Ynez Valley. Get your photo taken with actors Bo Derek and John Corbett and hear why they support Santa Barbara County Search And Rescue. Then, meet Kody the search dog, or climb inside a stretcher as we tie you in to secure you, providing a great photo opportunity. You will learn about the state-of-the-art equipment and technology that we use to find missing and injured persons when you hop inside our team vehicles, off-road vehicles, mobile command post, and helicopter. All ages welcome.
