To raise funds and provide essential rescue services to Santa Barbara County, the team volunteered two Spend a Day with Seach and Rescue prizes at the 2003 Sheriff's Council auction. Don Barthelmess, a professor of Marine Technology at Santa Barbara City College provided one of the winning bids. Below are some photos of his day, which he shared with his son and four friends. Our guests learned about various aspects of the team, including rappelling and technical rock systems, the use of search dogs, and even received a special visit by the Sheriff's helicopter.
