Most of the members of SBCSAR are trained in Swiftwater emergencies. Helicopters can be a valuable tool for accessing subjects trapped in vehicles or on debris in flooding water. The team practiced exiting the helo into Lake Cachuma and being retrieved by shorthaul or basket.
